Old Mill’s Varsity Basketball team wrapped up a season that started out well and took a turn for the worst.

Going 18-5 overall for the season and beating Broadneck, Old Mill won it’s 3rd straight County Championship. Getting a 1st round bye in the playoffs, the team began to prepare to play Meade High School at home on March 6th, 2019. In a close scoring game, it came down to the final score of 57-60, with a Meade victory.

“I was hurt and heartbroken,” said Junior Tra Thomas.

Senior Daevone Johnson was a key player to this year’s team. Johnson led the team with 19 points per game. Another key player who contributed to a great amount was Senior Point Guard, Zach Boston. Boston’s assist to turnover ratio was 5-1.

“In today’s game, that’s almost impossible,” said Head Coach Mike Francis.
