The 2018 Old Mill Cross Country team, significantly improved throughout the 2018 season. Of the four classes represented on the team, it was the freshman class this year that was superior.

During counties for the Patriots, the girls took seventh place and the boys took fifth. Freshman Isabella Anderson placed in the top 10 and earned fifth place individually.

From the girls side sophomore Allyson Carter did really well for her first year and earned second place in most of her races. Freshman Jackson Bromwell made varsity in his first year of high school, displaying great stamina.

“It was clear they worked hard in the off-season, so we could be in a better position at the end of the season,” said Coach Chelsea Hauswirth. “The kids pushed each other every day to get better.”
